About the Facilitator

Doug Bowen-Bailey is an interpreter, mentor, and resource developer who lives in Duluth, Minnesota. He has been a part of creating numerous CD-ROMs and DVDs focused on interpreting in medical settings, including Take These Meds, Hurry Up & Wait, Internal Discussions: Appointments in Cardiology and Gastroenterology, All in Due Time, and Birth Companions. He currently contracts with the CATIE Center for developing www.medicalinterpreting.org. He also serves as the Director of Technology and Communications for CIT and is very interested in how advances in technology can serve the interests of interpreter education.
